It was a curious thing, to have someone so aware of his presence. Mother knew and Father had known of him, of course, but they didn't behave in quite the same way Raven did. She was his age, a comfort to him and someone he could comfort. A oddity, like himself, the first close connection he's had in some time since Kurt came to live with them after the death of his Father. He turns his attention toward her, the smaller figure beside him-- and he curls his hand a little tighter around her own, a gentle squeeze and a small smile. "It's alright, Raven." He gives a small tug to her arm, pulls her toward the small cart and the server there. Free hand digging into the pockets of his shorts for some change, he's got enough to get them both a dreamcicle.
Grabbing the first with his free hand he passes it along to Raven, after peeling the wrapping down and offering it up. He takes the second and tugs the wrapping down before taking a small nibble at the corner. "I wonder if the boardwalk is still open..?"
