"You were harmless," she said with a shrug. She shut the door behind him and made sure it was locked. It wouldn't stop all of the students, but they all respected her privacy and if something that important happened that they didn't knock, she didn't suppose anyone would care who was in bed with her.
"An ass," she continued as she turned back to him, "but harmless. If I thought you were trying to be cruel...but you were just firing shots at someone who didn't know how to shoot back."
Hank had learned in the intervening years. He might still not be up to their level, but he had learned.
