I would have become someone you wouldn't like very much." She tries not to flinch when she kisses her forehead. It's such a quintessential 'brotherly' gesture that it makes her heart hurt just to feel it.

It makes her pull away and her hands fall to her sides. "Maybe I should go have Tom 'warm me up' because whatever you say, I'm not welcome to join you in whatever you're doing."

She wants to be close to someone, even if it's not the someone she wants. He gets his co-eds and what does she gets? She gets her cola and to watch from the side and wish. It's not fair and she's tired of it. She wants something for herself.
