"Maybe not," Raven agreed. She was sure that Charles didn't. He was just likely to overthink everything and try to puzzle out where he'd gone wrong even though she wasn't sure he could have done anything else.
She looked down for a minute and then scooted closer so that she could lean in and press a kiss to his cheek. At least, it was supposed to be his cheek. The kiss ended up nearer to the corner of his mouth than his cheek. Maybe it was an accident, but she didn't really mind.
