Diplomacy at its best
Raven is not herself at the moment. She's some aide to a foreign diplomat and she knows she knows the name of the person she's supposed to be, but for the life of her, she can't remember. She's sure she'll remember it once she hears it again, but no one has been talking to her. It makes for a very dull party. She goes from the drinks to the food and back. Every once in a while, she goes and listens in on conversations. One thing about being the one who isn't noticed is that she can overhear the juiciest things. The amount of information she's gathered so far will last them for weeks, at least, which is probably for the best. She really doesn't want to be here any more.
Things brighten up considerably when a young man asks her to dance. French, by his accent, he really is quite stunning. She puts on the charm. Maybe she's supposed to be a nobody right now, but that is absolutely not who she is. If the people here could see her in her natural form, she would stand out from the crowd and that's the way she likes it. The man, Gabriel, leans in closer and whispers an offer in her ear. She laughs and pushes him away teasingly, but the offer is tempting. Charles is around her somewhere, but she hasn't seen him in hours and she has plenty of information for him.
She slides up closer to Gabriel. Maybe give it a few minutes longer. If things stay just as boring, she'll leave with Gabriel and Charles can find his own entertainment.

It's with that in mind he makes his way into the middle of the room. He lays a hand on her shoulder-- knows it her by the the familiar weight of her mind-- and levels his gaze on her partner, Gabriel. "Mind if I intercede?" It's not impolite to interrupt but a dated practice, that doesn't mean he isn't willing to do so, especially just to see the surprised and obnoxious look he gets in reaction. "I'd like a dance, myself."

She turns her head finally and arches a look at Charles. "So why don't you give me a convincing reason to say yes?" She has the power for the moment. All she has to do is say that he's bothering her and he'll have to back off. To do otherwise would risk compromising himself. They're supposed to be undercover, not making waves through the party. Even the smallest incident in a crowd this large can be spread through too many people for Charles to handle.

"So, join me, won't you?"

Her eyes turn back to the man - what was his name again? - and the corner of her mouth lifts up. She rakes his eyes across the man's body and the smile turns into a smirk as she settles her eyes on his groin.
"Maybe he has what I'm looking for."

"But if you don't want to dance with me, I'm sure I could find another partner for the evening." A sly grin crosses his lips as he turns his gaze to linger on a slim blond with an even slimmer dress. He could very nearly see the bottom of her ass, and while it wasn't exactly classy, he would enjoy it simply because she was a parody of the person Raven always pretended to be.

"Gabriel? My brother Charles."
With that said, she slid her hand into Charles' hair, turned his head back toward her, and kissed him. That blond he was looking at didn't know him like she did. She wouldn't be able to do the things she could. She knew every single button he had and exactly how how to push them.

She neglects to tell Charles that she hasn't given him her number and instead heads for the front door.

That said he doesn't take his time in following her, even offering to put her coat on-- though it was mainly an excuse for him to palm along her ass. Edging closer he shrugs on his own formal jacket. "And if I don't care to wait?"
no subject
"Because I say so." She slides her fingers along his jaw, brushes his lips, and then pulls away.

"I haven't fucked anyone else for weeks."

"You sure you don't want to go home with someone from back in the party?" Although now they're already gone and she's slipping her hand into his slacks.
